Artificial Intelligence in the classroom
In our previous example we began by asking questions that sought to establish intersections between diverse data points through establishing a protagonist and asking in which way external objective influences affected the protagonist.
ie: In what ways did 17th century politics and economics affect Guercino as an artist?
ie: In what ways did 17th century politics and economics affect Guercino as an artist?
In this example we asked a question and AI gave us an output of information.
Now we want to evolve our understanding through adding input to the AI system to get more specific outputs.
To do this we can copy and paste information from a source such as an article:
{NOTE: There is a limited quantity of data AI systems can take input from in each entry so you may need to tell it you will be copy pasting 2 or 3, or more pages of data.}
Copy paste info you want the AI to use then ask your question specific to that input of information:
ie: I am going to share information with you, copy and pasted from an article. After I input all of this information I want you to answer questions specific to the inputs of information I have shared with you. Then ask questions specific to your information copy pasted into AI.
ie: What ways does the author of this article believe that...the Renaissance was influenced by scholars from the middle east?
You so too can use it to debate experts and authors points.
ie: enter an input of your own writing and ask in what ways does my writing compare and contrast with the author of article XYZ?
Furthermore, you can use AI to assess logical fallacies in your or other writers' writing or identify potential inaccuracies.
Tips
In order to get the most out of AI, like most things, you need to pay for a subscription, this is to say the information in the paid version is more advanced than the free version.
Furthermore in the paid version of Chat GPT you can customize the way it interacts with you.
ie: Answer my questions with this in mind…
I teach 5th graders so create an engaging answer for this age group in lesson plan format
or
Add open ended questions to ask students in my class to the answers you share with me
